Quite empty on early mornings, quite busy on the afternoons and evenings. No real and regular cleaning, so expect leaves, snow, branches etc on the track.

No special gear required, just a comfortable pair of walking shoes, and your clothing should be adjusted according to the weather. It's essential to carry some water because there are no refreshment options on the way up. A gentle incline leads to the lookout point, promising a fantastic experience!

The lake and this waterfall has been used by the village for centuries to produce energie. First the water was used for mills and from the 1920s onwards for electricity.

Easily accessible both from Lillafüred and from the Hermann Otto car park. The second is a very nice ascent over 3km / 300hm - the view is worth every single step. Also feasible with a child carrier, slippery in wet weather, but feasible.
