April 7, 2026, Ladder of Kotor Trail

Not sure if there was an actual ladder here but the opening is now partially closed with freshly mortared stones and no ladder is present. There is no way to get in form outside of the fortress walls and getting out from inside is quite dangerous and absolutely not recommended. Posted two photos ✌️

From the 1964 film "The Viking Raid" starring Richard Widmark and Sidney Poitier, and made of papier-mâché. Left behind in and around Budva after filming... In 2025, the bell will house a souvenir stand.

Whether by day or night, the walk through the North Gate is an experience. During the day, you can find tranquility in the blue waters surrounding the city, and at night, you can admire the illuminated city walls high in the mountains.
