I drive through here a lot and stop there. Never seen beavers, they are also shy, and many frequent here, especially on this western side of the reservoir. On the other bank in the Grien floodplains, there is a cycle and hiking path, and it was renewed and strengthened a few years ago, as many beaver dams have built tunnels under this path. But you can always see the tracks of the beaver and its tooth activities 😅🤣 or beaver lodges. Binoculars would be an advantage.

Klingnauer Stausee is a popular recreation area. The paths around the reservoir are asphalt, wide, but also busy. You meet hikers, joggers, skaters, bikers, ornithologists and hobby ornithologists with their large cameras and tripods here! There is enough space for everyone if you treat each other with respect. There is also a wooden observation tower on the western side of the shore and one on a converted bunker. A paradise for bird lovers. Very beautiful sunsets can be experienced here. There are also visitors here or there at night.

From here, a beautiful view opens up over the village of Leuggern. Between fields, rolling hills, and the tranquil landscape, the place seems truly idyllic. I like to stop here briefly, look over the rooftops, and enjoy the wide view before continuing on the tour.

I found the mix of a wide view over the reservoir, a quiet lakeside landscape, and birdwatching particularly pleasant. The paths are easy to ride, and it's worth stopping briefly now and then to let nature work its magic and let your gaze wander over the water.

With a mountain bike, the Aarebrücke near Beznau is a beautiful point on the tour. I found the crossing over the Aare particularly pleasant because you have a good view of the water, nature, and the power plant environment here. A short stop is worthwhile to enjoy the view and soak in the special atmosphere by the Aare.

Beautiful viewpoint overlooking the Aare. The detour is especially worthwhile for a short break to enjoy the view and take some photos. Ideal if you want to take a short breather on the go and let the river landscape sink in.
