07_2025, the start of the tour to Federispitz is quite steep from here. Currently, the ground is very rutted and unstable due to logging. Going downhill is not recommended, especially in wet conditions.

The Speer via ferrata is rated B/C. It leads to the highest conglomerate or Nagelfluh mountain in Europe, the Speer. From the viewing platform there, you have a fantastic panoramic view. However, it's also quite crowded here, as an easy hiking trail leads up from the southeast. We found the via ferrata easier than advertised, and many Swiss climb it without safety equipment, which is also quite doable.
