Beautiful, easy-to-ride route along the Sihl. In summer, it's nice and cool in the shade of the trees.

With the anti-aircraft guided missile position BL-64 above Menzingen, one of the main pillars of Swiss air defense remains for posterity during the Cold War. The plant was in operation until the end of 1999. The world's only remaining, complete Bloodhound guided missile facility is opened for guided tours as a museum.

Pretty village with great views. I notice and shops as I ran through but there may be one tucked away somewhere.

After the struggle uphill it's nice to reach an open and fairly flat road for running on. I didn't see one car, just a few cyclists. The view along the valley is lovely and it's a smooth running surface, a nice change from other rought terrain parts :-)
