Three-story tower. The lowest level probably housed the provisions store. The upper level was accessible by means of a ladder and is lit by two loopholes on each side. It is covered by a barrel vault pierced in the center by a lunette. The ladder that served to reach the first floor could, once removed, be used to get to the upper platform, the second level of defense with a machicolated turret on each face, loopholes in each re-entrant angle and one facing forward. The towers on the coast may have replaced older watch posts.

⚓ Port des Quilles – small yacht harbor of Sète Port des Quilles is a small sports and leisure harbor in the southwestern part of Sète, right next to the Lido in the direction of Marseillan and Cap d’Agde. 🇫🇷⚓ 📍 Numbers, data & facts: • Harbor type: Sports and leisure harbor • 377 berths • For boats of approximately 5 to 12 meters in length • Predominantly smaller motor and leisure boats 🚤 • Created in its current form at the end of the 1980s • Water and electricity at parts of the jetties • Directly by the Plage des Quilles and Plage de la Corniche 🏖️ • Water sports facilities and gastronomy are also located in the vicinity 🌊 The location is particularly beautiful: You can walk directly along the harbor basin, observe the many small boats, and then continue walking towards the beach. The history of the area is also interesting. The harbor was built together with various coastal protection structures such as groynes and breakwaters, which shape the appearance of this coastal section to this day. ⭐ A beautiful maritime highlight in Sète – significantly smaller and cozier than the large harbor facilities in the center and perfect for a small detour on foot or by bike. Greetings Marcus ✌️🇫🇷⚓
