Beautiful, quiet cycle path - wonderful to ride. The cycle path ran elevated and parallel to the old Bocholt-Barlo(-Winterswijk) railway line and parallel to Vardingholter Straße. It was built very early on - back in a time when a freight wagon used to travel once a month to the Raiffeisenhandel in Barlo. The cycle path was primarily built for the schoolchildren from Barlo, so they could cycle safely to school in Bocholt. Of course, it was also gladly used by all other cyclists from the beginning. The railway tracks were only removed later and the freed-up area was offered for purchase to the adjacent residents.

A beautiful castle right in the heart of Ahaus. You can take a lovely stroll around it and, with a bit of luck, see black swans.

In one pasture there are 🦙 llamas, and in another pasture there are alpacas. Both species belong to the same family.
