Beautiful building and at least for locals from Lünen and the surrounding area also a very good event location. The area is certainly very interesting for cyclists. Old colliery site, proximity to the Lippe and the canal, at the same time the possibility to branch off into the Cappenberger forests or via Werne into the Münsterland. On weekends, you can also find parking spaces here. Thus, arriving by car and then continuing by bike is also easily possible.

This sculpture commemorates the last wolf in Westphalia, killed in 1822 by Josef Hennemann from Herbern, who, incidentally, became shooting champion that same year. After being eradicated, the wolf has been able to reestablish itself in North Rhine-Westphalia in recent decades. Two panels provide information on the current spread of this close relative of the dog in Europe.
