There's a swimming area by the parking lot. We went into the clear, cold water there on November 15th, 2025. Wonderful! I can't say what it's like here in the summer; I'll have to try it out.

A narrow path through an almost jungle-like area. At times, it's reminiscent of the Amazon. However, the path is wet in some places, so wear appropriate footwear.

Beautiful view of the intersection of the Ill and the Colmar Canal.

Overall, a lovely experience that I would recommend. The lake and the beach were unfortunately very crowded, but you could swim in the lake itself. 🏊♂️ It was just a bit overgrown with algae. It was also difficult to get there; you had to drive around several gates and even cross a small stream. All in all, it was a lovely visit.

Great swimming spot. Gently sloping and clear water. In mid-May 2025, the water was about 17 degrees.

Up to this point, it's the most beautiful part of the route. Sun and shade and the rippling canal. Later, it's just asphalt and road.
