The youth forest campsite „Jungviehweide“ near Waldenbuch is located on a large, idyllic clearing about two kilometers southeast of Waldenbuch in the heart of the Schönbuch Nature Park. It was opened in 1974 as the first youth forest campsite in Baden-Württemberg and is managed by ForstBW. The traffic-free forest area is also known by the name „Ponderosa“, where the popular two-week children's holiday camp traditionally takes place during the summer holidays.

Life tree with an information board about its significance as part of the "Herzog-Jäger-Pfad", which refers to the former hunting area Bezenberg, which the Dukes of Württemberg often and gladly visited due to the legendary richness of game until the beginning of the 19th century. Duke Friedrich I (1557 - 1608) in particular was a frequent guest and was very connected to Waldenbuch and its surroundings.
