Carrefour Irénée Duvoid (Xonrupt-Longemer, arrondissement of Saint-Dié-des-Vosges, Grand Est) is 920 meters above sea level. Irenée Joseph Duvoid was the son of Maximin Léopold and his wife, Marie Élisa Durand. He worked as a forest ranger. Irenée Duvoid joined the resistance in October 1942 in Group III of the Vosges Maquis, in the Anould-Fraize-Plainfaing sector. A leader in his thirties, he was killed on September 22, 1944, in the Grand-Valtin Forest, in Ban-sur-Meurthe (Vosges), where he had been lured by the Germans. He received the distinction "Died for France" and was certified as a soldier of the French Forces of the Interior (FFI).
