The American monument on Hill 204 near Château-Thierry is a monument commemorating the sacrifices and exploits of the Americans and the French during the First World War, in particular the Aisne-Marne and Oise-Aisne offensives in 1918. The monument consists of of a double colonnade rising above a long terrace, with two statues representing the United States and France, and an eagle on the opposite side. You can also see a large map of the area that shows the advance of Allied forces in 1918, as well as a table that shows directions and distances to historical points of interest. The monument offers a panoramic view of the Marne valley and the town of Château-Thierry.
