The ashlar stone mill in square Désiré Pech is called Le Moulin à eau de la « Peïsseiro » in Occitan, or « Pacheiro ». Anchored since the Roman era on its coffer dams, the « La Pacheiro » water mill was still operating in the 13th century.

The "Lavoir de la Païcherasse" is located 1.5 km east of the town of La Palme in the Aude, France. Formerly used by the inhabitants as a washhouse, it is supplied by a spring at the foot of a nearby limestone plateau. The water that flows continuously has a temperature of 18°C. The washhouse was built in the shape of an hourglass, with "blue stone", a beautiful marble extracted from the quarries just above. (Wikipedia)

Nice campsite with plenty of space and showers. You can shop and eat in the village. For larger shopping trips, there's an Aldi and Super U supermarket in Port-la-Nouvelle, not far away. There are also plenty of boutiques and restaurants there.

Really cool to do, however, if you have smooth tires and it's a bit wet, you'll have to push.

It's really beautiful to ride among these lagoons! A little stressful, we fear that the ground will soften or that we will end up in the water but it's perfect in fact!

Nice path for walking or cycling. When approaching the railway line, you have to look for your way if the puddles have spread.
