Passing Altenrode through the forest is magnificent! The proximity to the motorway isn't essential, but it's only a minor inconvenience.

It's a real challenge! From Lautenthal towards Hahnenklee, the gradient is sometimes over 10%. But it's beautiful, hardly any traffic and the descent is really fun. Be careful, there are 1-2 steep bends 😊

Lautenthal's main street needs a general overhaul again. But that's the only thing that's annoying. From here on, the Harz really begins and you can feel it straight away when you drive into the town coming from Langelsheim.
