In the second half of the 19th century, given the poor condition of the church of Santa Margarida, it was decided to build a new church. A first church was started in 1878 near the old town hall, but was never completed. In 1918, the land on which the current temple stands was acquired, and work began in 1920, most of which was carried out between 1924 and 1926, although it was not fully completed until the 1950s.

Castellet Castle dates from the 10th century, originally little more than a large fortified house with a watchtower, it was intended to protect the Hispanic March of al-Andalus. Over time and the successive occupants it did not fall into disuse thanks to its strategic position between Garraf and Penedès. Today it is a tourist attraction, thanks to its state of conservation and its privileged location on the meander of the Foix River, today occupied by the Foix reservoir. There is a terrace bar, very popular with bikers and cyclists, just off the road.
