Located in the heart of the old town of Dosrius, this church has a much more curious history than it appears. Although the current building was constructed from 1526, a temple already existed in this location during the Middle Ages. One of its most surprising stories occurred during the Civil War. The church was looted, its altars destroyed, and the building converted into a warehouse for grain, seeds, and straw. A magnificent 16th-century Renaissance altarpiece was lost, but the curious thing is that, many years later, researchers managed to identify seven original paintings that had survived. Four are preserved in the Mataró Museum and three in the church itself. There are more curiosities: formerly, families could pay to have their own pew inside the church. And above the vaults, there is a space known as "the owls' room," where an old manual mechanism for raising and lowering the central lamp is still preserved. If you can go inside, also look at the floor: there is a funerary tombstone from 1776 belonging to the Vallmajor family, one of the most important in the town.

Small fountain in the old town of Dosrius, right at the foot of the stairs leading up to the church of Sant Iscle i Santa Victòria. Although the fountain we see today dates from 1974, this spot has quite a history. Before running water arrived in the village, locals used to come here to fetch water for their homes. The original fountain was next to Can Dama and was so cherished that when the Town Hall remodeled the square and replaced it with the current one, there was considerable controversy among the residents. As a curiosity, the water originally came from the Dosrius aquifer and was part of a concession that distributed 30,000 liters daily among three village fountains. Today it is simply a small corner of the old town, but for many years it was one of those places around which the daily life of the village revolved. If you pass through Dosrius by bike, it's worth stopping for a moment.

One of the passages that allow you to cross under the train tracks and the N-II to access the promenade and the beach without risking your life among cars. If you cycle along the Maresme, these passages are essential for connecting the urban center with the coast. Watch out when crossing: it is usually narrow and shared with pedestrians, so it is advisable to reduce speed significantly or get off your bike when there are people.

An iconic point that marks the entrance to Mataró. Laia l’Arquera, created by local artist Josep Maria Rovira i Brull in 1998, stands 34 meters tall as a symbol of the city. It represents a prehistoric woman with a bow, but with a key detail: it points towards Burriac castle, connecting the present with the Iberian origins of the territory. More than a decorative figure, its creator conceived it as a kind of goddess linked to the land and the identity of the place. A good stopping point to look up for a moment before continuing to ride.

A small cave hidden in a crevice of Montseny, damp and cool even in the height of summer. Its name comes from the constant croaking of frogs from the nearby stream, which seem to guard the entrance at dusk. Locals say that during storms, forest animals would take refuge inside, and that a hiker once found an old, rusty lantern hanging from the rock, as if someone had left it there to return.
