Komoot indicates paths that are unfortunately no longer up-to-date (fenced off, overgrown, etc.), nevertheless the route is worth "exploring". Little shade, you need to bring enough water. Easy access (by car). Flat and easy terrain (applies to the section I walked).

The Castillo de Guardamar is a historic fortification in the town of Guardamar del Segura. The castle was built by the Moors in the 12th century on a hill overlooking the coastline and the hinterland. It was strategically located to protect the region from possible attacks. The castle suffered severe damage in 1829 from an earthquake that destroyed much of the structure. Today only ruins remain, but these have been lovingly restored and are open to the public. Visitors can walk through the remains of the walls, enjoy the views of the surrounding valley and coast, and learn about the fortress's turbulent history. The hill on which the castle stands offers wonderful views over the region.
