Abundant remains from the Roman period have been found on the site where the current hermitage stands. Everything supposes a continuity in its consecration, first of pagan cult and later Christian. The construction of the chapel was done thanks to the donation of a piece of land for the building made by Joan de Planas Cassanyes Ferrer on July 3, 1548. A donation made by Anna Setmenat i Doms, in 1553 , made it possible to build the hermit's house. [1] In 1577 permission was sought from the bishop to change the old portal. The portal, however, is dated 1548. The first work was directed by the first hermit, Fray Nicolau. [1] In 1736, the chapel had three altars. The terracotta image that was worshiped there was lost in the 19th century. [1] In 1893 important reforms began in the sanctuary. From that date until 1935, improvements were made. It was set on fire in 1936

The oldest documentation of the bridge dates from 1226. The bridge can be included in the group of civil constructions carried out during the thirteenth century with later modifications and reconstructions (sixteenth, seventeenth and nineteenth centuries) that take advantage of the situation and structures of the previous bridge, probably Roman. Of this last one they are only rest of the bases of the pillars. It is located at the end of Carrer del Pont, near the old portal of the same name. This was one of the important entrances to the medieval walled city. Its mission was to save the steep slope of the Caldes stream, giving continuity to the road, which went from Caldes to Sentmenat. In medieval times it was very busy, as the road connected Caldes with towns as important as Martorell, passing through Sabadell and Ègara.

The Font del León is a centenary monument located in the central square of the town, named after the fountain. It has always been a symbol of identity and mystery, both for the hot springs and for the fact that the great stream of water that comes out of the mouth of a stone lion has never stopped flowing. It comes out with a very abundant and constant flow, and at a temperature of 74 ° C. According to a 1923 health report, these waters have mineral-medicinal properties, because they are hyperthermal and contain chlorine, sodium, lithium, bromine and iodine, among others. Thanks to their therapeutic properties, they are indicated to fight various diseases, especially to relieve skin, bone and respiratory conditions.
