Polopos is known from a broadcast of RTL 4. In 2019 on TV in the Netherlands. 5 couples bought a house in Polopos for € 1 each. Well, house .... bought a ruin. In a kind of competition they had to fix up the house and integrate it into the village. The best (chosen by the village council) received a cash prize. The winners were Wijnand and Thysa. In the end, they are the only ones who continued to live in the village. They run, among other things, an artist hotel in addition to various other activities.
