Made up of an old black slate mine and quarry, in the early 1990s the Barcelona Metropolitan Corporation restored it as an auditorium and playground. But it had to be closed when it was discovered that the slope of the quarry was unstable (in fact, after a few months of being closed to the public, there was a major landslide). It was later recovered as a wetland for the observation of the birds in the area, but without the public being able to enter the quarry site.
