Cabezarados is located in the Tirteafuera river basin, in the western part of Campo de Calatrava, geographically nestled in the intermediate zone between the Montes de Toledo and the Alcudia Valley. Its natural and scenic surroundings invite you to carry out all kinds of activities related to nature. In the centre of the main square of Cabezarados stands the Jurisdictional Roll from the 15th century. This Roll was dismantled in the first decade of the 20th century, and its pieces distributed among all the residents of the town. On 23 January 1982, the Monuments Commission solemnly inaugurated the restoration of the Jurisdictional Roll that had been achieved after many years.

Located in the central part of the province, the surroundings of Los Pozuelos de Calatrava are characterized by presenting a soft relief characteristic of the Campo de Calatrava region. It is crossed from east to west by the Guadiana River and streams such as Fresno. Regarding its heritage, the Church of Our Lady of the Visitation stands out.

In the western part of the province and the historic Campo de Calatrava, between the Canalizos and San Antón mountain ranges and the Guadiana valley, with very rugged relief and evocative landscapes, is the pleasant town of Luciana. It houses the mouths of two tributaries of the Guadiana River: the Bullaque in the northeast, very close to the town, and the Tirteafuera in the southwest, in Tablacaldera. Water, always very present, gives uniqueness and beauty to the environment.

In the town, the parish church, from the 18th century, and a house where Garcilaso de la Vega lived, very restored, with a coat of arms. It is the town with the smallest municipal area. The name of this municipality derives from the one used in Arabic, which in turn came from Roman times, taking it from a primitive indigenous word, and can therefore be considered one of the oldest place names in the region. In any case, it does not seem that it is exclusive to this municipality, since in the area of Los Cortijos there is an annex, stream and port of Caracuel.

Monuments and centers of cultural interest are scattered throughout its streets: the Palermo Museum, the Casa-Convento de La Merced, the current home of the Hieronymite nuns, modernist in style and dating from the 19th century. Continuing the visit you can visit the Cervantina Library, inside which an infinite number of editions of Don Quixote are collected, in different languages, formats and periods, as well as canvases and drawings related to the Cervantine character. From here you can also see the Municipal Theatre, built in 1845 on the site of the old Carmelite Convent.
