It takes about 4 hours to go up and down at a normal pace, going up past the old dog pound in Mijas Pueblo. Medium-high difficulty level.

The Pico de Mijas, with its 1,150 m, is the highest peak in the Sierra de Mijas. The large white ball, located at the top, is the installation of the State Meteorological Agency (AEMET) station - which is why Pico Mijas is also known as "Pico de La Bola". The views from the top are impressive - the mountains, coast and sea at our feet. Remember, this is a fire hazard area, always pick up all trash and respect the environment, thank you!

One of the best spots for a view of Alhaurin El Grande. This spot is very easy to reach via a wide and relatively comfortable hiking trail, for example via Llano del bosnio.

A city with a village soul. The most characteristic point is the church of Nuestra Señora de la Encarnación, which is located on the hill where there used to be the old castle and the mosque of the Muslim Alhaurín (in Andalusian times).
