A beautiful stretch of nature. With a bit of luck, you might spot a slowworm.

The starting point/a starting point for the Kempowski's Idyllic North Trail. Parking is also available here.

Good idea for the herbal round in Nartum and the surrounding area.

Large parking lot at the cemetery, which is not a given for the north paths. Be sure to take the barrow a few meters back. Walter Kempowski's grave is at the other end of the cemetery.

The last remnants of the old peat railway are located next to the path at the edge of the forest

A nice resting place, but in winter it gets pretty drafty and uncomfortably cold here. In summer, however, the oak is definitely the perfect place to take a break. If you like, you can go here on a north path access path that leads to the house of Walter Kempowski, the namesake of the north path that leads along the oak.

Even if peat extraction is very controversial, I still find these extraction fields and the wide, peat-cleared areas interesting. Either way, it's an impressive sight of millions of years of history and a nice change of pace on the North Trail.
