The bakery is open 24/7 and operates on a self-service basis: Customers can help themselves to fresh bread, rolls, and sweet pastries from the small shop at any time, while supplies last. The bakery uses mainly spelt and rye, with the grains coming from the Bioland Mevs farm in Schinkel. The bakery has been certified organic since March 2021.

The "Lütte Backstuv Lechtworden" in Bünsdorf is run by Svea Andersson. At over 50 years old, she fulfilled her dream and completed an apprenticeship as a baker. Together with her partner Ralf, she runs the small organic bakery in a converted East German beekeeping wagon at Wührenredder 5 in Bünsdorf.

The Bünsdorf parish includes the villages of Bistensee, Borgstedt, Bünsdorf, Groß Wittensee, Holzbunge, Klein Wittensee and Neu Duvenstedt. We have three places of worship: the church of St. Katharinen in Bünsdorf and the chapels in Borgstedt and Groß Wittensee. Our cemeteries are also located in all three places.
