Built in the 12th century and sits south of the old Roman Ermin Street, the road from Gloucester to Cirencester. The church is opposite Barnwood Park and Arboretum, a great place to rest or have a walk through if the weather is nice.

People lived and worked at the Great Witcombe Roman villa from around 200 AD until the early 5th century. The road to the villa is good tarmac all the way except the last 20 feet (6 m) or so which you have to walk.
