The pond with a fountain in the Puchberg spa park is an idyllic resting place in the middle of the town center. The gentle splashing of the fountain, the well-kept park grounds, and the view of the Schneeberg give the place a particularly relaxed atmosphere. A beautiful spot to briefly unwind before or after a hike. 🌳⛲🏔️

Charging €51 for a day ticket is almost a bit cheeky. I used to enjoy skiing at Semmering, but nowadays I would no longer recommend the park.

I haven't been here for a few years, but it did me a lot of good right away. The hut service was perfect, as it used to be. I will be here more often now.

In 1094, the Benedictine monastery of Vornbach was elevated to an abbey. To the east, the donation of territories in the Neunkirchen-Pitten-Gloggnitz area to the Benedictines enabled the founding of a Vornbach filial monastery in Gloggnitz. After the completion of the new Christ the King Church (1962) near the town center, the monastery church became the former parish church.

The Kaspressknödel soup with a large Kaspressknödel :) and the apricot chocolate slice were great!

The parish church of Schottwien is dedicated to St. Giles and, with its tower, dominates the center of Schottwien. Gothic origins and Baroque elements tell of its long history. An atmospheric place in the heart of the Semmering region.
