I thought it was a side street, but it's a private street. Just don't drive

I turned around halfway. A flock of sheep with dogs and no fence in sight. So don't use the private road.

If you are here in summer, this is a very important point. You should definitely fill up your supplies at this public drinking water point.

The church was built in 1610, the monastery a little later. In 1699 they undertook to build the bell tower while the monastery dedicated to San Francesco was dedicated to the Immaculate Conception. However, in 1707 it was rededicated to the saint. In 1855 it was dissolved and remodeled by the municipality: one part became a barracks for the carabinieri, another became a district court; only the church remained for the brothers. In 1901 work began on a new monastery, the inauguration of which took place on June 4, 1908. On October 4th, 1957 the parish of San Francesco di Ittiri was founded. In 1978 the church was renovated.
