Malga Bovental or Boffental is located on a large pasture plateau at the end of the Vallarsa valley, offering a stunning view. It is very well preserved and maintained, and is open (probably) during the summer months and/or on weekends. Rising above the mountain hut is the imposing, pointed outline of Mount Cornetto and the other peaks of the Sengio Alto range. In the distant past, enormous boulders broke away from these peaks, scattered here and there across the surrounding meadows.

The first plans for the construction of a refuge on Pasubio date back to 1907. However, they were not realized until after the First World War, when the Schio section of the CAI began to build a refuge in memory of the soldiers who had fallen on Pasubio. Beautiful refuge reachable both by asphalt and off-road, in the middle of the pre-Alps. Highly recommended!
