Simple landscape that invites reflection. Good starting point for Peña Trevinca, I hope it recovers well from the fires.

The mountain route leaves from the Laguna de los Peces parking lot, at the end point of the panoramic road that goes up from Puebla de Sanabria through San Martín de Castañeda. At the corner of the parking lot two paths begin, one wide on the right (east) that goes down towards the basin where the Fish Lagoon is, this is the return route, and another narrower path with worse surface on the left (north). ) marked with the milestones of the Mountain Path 7 From Peces to Peña Trevinca, which is the one-way route to the Tera glacial valley and the great mountain of Sanabria. The route of the lane is clear on the slope of Peña Cabrita, in the ditch of the path there are milestones of the route and the forest desolation that invades the mountain slopes allows us to contemplate the magnificent breadth of the Sierra Segundera mountains.

One of the most beautiful lagoons in the natural park of Lago de Sanabria and the Segundera and Porto mountains, although not as well known as the Laguna de los Peces. Its glacial cirque is impressive and, without a doubt, deserves a long break along the route to admire its beauty.

mountain lagoon of glacial origin that is located at an altitude of 1707 m, usually spends the end of autumn, winter and the beginning of spring frozen and its surroundings covered in snow. It belongs to the protected area of the Sanabria Lake Natural Park and surroundings. It is a great option if you want to climb a long climb that is not hard. Be careful when you go up, the road can be icy.
