Access to Camping Pasveer is accessible, but once you get there, you'll have to turn back. Campsite manager Pasveer has closed the walking path next to the campsite to hikers and has put a "No Admittance" sign on it for hikers who don't have a pitch at his campsite. You'll receive information beforehand with a "NO ADMITTANCE" sign.😒 So, very welcoming to other hikers.😢

The Grienedyk cycle path, located along the Sneekermeer, offers cyclists a scenic route with panoramic views over the water and surrounding nature reserves. This path is part of several cycle routes around the Sneekermeer and is well maintained, which ensures a comfortable ride. Along the dike there are bird watching points, bat and sand martin caves, and information boards that tell more about the rich flora and fauna of the area.

You can eat delicious food in the restaurant/brasserie. There is a really great outdoor terrace with a view of the Sneekermeer. The snack bar is also recommended; we have often taken pizza, burgers and fries from there.

Just outside Sneek, in the Sneekermeer, lies Kolmeersland or Starteiland, which is best known for the sailing regattas during the Sneekweek and the skûtsjesilen. Around the island you can moor in one of the marinas and Starteiland has various facilities such as a restaurant and a playground. Starteiland can only be reached by ferry or private boat transport, making it a unique place in the heart of Friesland.
