This is a great and challenging trail. I encountered many other people walking it with dogs.

This trail provides access to The Barrens throughout most of the year. During hunting season, roughly October through January, this trail is closed so check with local authorities for exact dates. The trail itself is a mix of single and double track with only a few obstacles along the way. Downed trees can be present so take care around tight corners.

State Game Lands #176, also known as The Barrens, is one of many state owned lands managed by the Pennsylvania Game Commission for hunting, trapping, and fishing. However, many other outdoor activities are available to visitors as well. Keep in mind that during hunting season these other activities can be restricted.
