Since the end of the 19th century, there was a pavilion here, richly decorated with wood carvings, which was destroyed during the First World War. The current brick rotunda, built in the traditions of classicism, was built in 1928 according to the design of architect Fridrihs Skujiņš. There was a coffee pavilion here, where the resort guests were offered soft drinks, tea and coffee with snacks, and a radio was installed for entertainment.
