Basically, I can recommend the bike street (between Ostseetherme and Niendorf-Brücke). Good to ride and well located....BUT...the concept itself doesn't work cleanly. In fact, as a cyclist, my fellow pedal pushers annoy me more than the car drivers. Please - you don't have to block the street wide and side-by-side here either, and no, riding on the left is also not a good idea. It is NOT a bike path and crosswalks (e.g. at the height of Landhaus Carstens) and right-of-way rules also apply to us!
