From here you have a beautiful view over the plain, up to the Pfälzerwald. The surface of the cycle path is very good, also great to ride with a road bike.

Narrow, charming alleyways lined with old houses in Deidesheim - perfect for a slow stroll and a bit of small-town atmosphere.

The Historic Queckbrunnen is located exactly on the border between Dannstadt and Schifferstadt. In the past, the two municipalities often argued here – mainly about who was allowed to use the water and the pastures for the animals. The well itself is "ancient". During excavations in 1982, archaeologists discovered that people had already lived here in the Stone Age – that is, about 6000 to 8000 years ago! Up until the 1930s, the water still flowed from the spring. Due to its location on the border, small disputes repeatedly arose: if animals from Dannstadt went onto pastures in Schifferstadt, bailiffs and gamekeepers came to retrieve them – and vice versa, of course. It often took a long time for the animals to be returned to their rightful owner. At the end of the 1930s, the spring was covered over by the construction of a bunker and disappeared. Nevertheless, people continued to remember it. In local parlance, it was called "Kindlesbrunnen" and was even covered in local history classes at schools. When the bunker was later dismantled, Kurt Kocher from Dannstadt, together with his sons, dug for the spring – and found it! Together with Lorenz Eckrich from Schifferstadt, they founded a working group that took over further excavations. They discovered both a brick well from the late Middle Ages and an old spring well made of oak beams.

The Old Town Hall in Schifferstadt is among the most beautiful and interesting half-timbered town halls in the Palatinate and, with its semi-open, stone ground floor hall and the discreetly decorated half-timbering on the upper floors, is an excellent example of a representative town hall from the 16th century. At the time of its construction, between the late Middle Ages and the early modern period, the life of the population in Schifferstadt was particularly influenced by the destruction of the Limburg Monastery, which possessed privileges in the municipal constitution and large landholdings in Schifferstadt, the Peasants' War, the plundering by Margrave Albrecht, and the Reformation. Originally, the Old Town Hall was a court building with an "open" courtroom on the ground floor, meaning there was an open door arch on each side, while the remaining arches were closed up to window height. On the upper floor were the deliberation rooms, where officials such as the Faut, Schultheiß, Schöffen, Büttel, and others conducted their business. A rarity at the town hall is the pillory and the "Betzekammer" (punishment cell) on the north side below the staircase. Both point to the former function as a place of jurisdiction. The village court could decide on minor field damage, quarrels, brawls, and similar matters and punish the guilty in the Betzekammer. This is closed by a small, late Gothic-shaped door with a hatch, through which relatives could pass food to the prisoners. If no one remembered, the prisoner had to starve. The Old Town Hall was declared a protected cultural asset by the United Nations by decree of August 19, 1988, and is listed on the monument list of the Directorate-General for Cultural Heritage.

No designated cycle path. Wide, very well-paved path towards Pfalzmarkt. Nice alternative route towards Mutterstadt. During harvest season, heavy tractor traffic on Thursdays and Fridays (tractors have right of way).
