TIP: This is the only access to the Schulensee. The 69-hectare nature reserve was designated in 1986 and protects an Ice Age basin with a lake, reed beds, willow bushes, and wet alder forests. From the west bank, you look out over a wide zone of floating-leaved plants with white water lilies and yellow pond lilies. Due to the lowering of the water level in the 19th century and nutrient input, the open water surface shrank from 35 to 13 hectares – sedimentation you can touch.

The Uhlenkrog animal enclosure is located in Hassee, between Struckdieksau and Uhlenkrog. Accessibility: The entrance is somewhat hidden in the area of Rendsburger Landstraße / Hasseer Straße. At 2.7 hectares, the smallest enclosure is dominated by a grassland interspersed with hedgerows, home to white fallow deer and Soay sheep. Some very old fruit trees grow on the northern grassland. There are also two ponds on the site. The enclosure is connected to the network of hiking trails along the Struckdieksau and can be reached from the center of Hassee.

On October 2, 1927, the station, which until then had only been called "Kiel", was given the name "Kiel Hbf".[4] In 1944, the main station and the adjacent magnificent buildings were badly damaged in a heavy bombing raid by the Allies. From 1950 onwards, the station was rebuilt in a simplified form. A restaurant was built in the eastern part of the reception building, so that the Kaisertreppe could no longer be used as an entrance.

The western part of the then four-track terminal station (tracks 3 and 4) was completed in 1899. Until then, trains still ran through a gap in the east wing to the old station. After the new station was opened, traffic to the old station could be stopped, and the east wing (tracks 1 and 2) followed in 1900. The old station was demolished in 1902. Princes' rooms were built on the east side of the new reception building. Kaiser Wilhelm II gave directives for their design: the interior decoration of his yacht Hohenzollern was to be the model.[3] From here, the imperial staircase, combined with a curved driveway, led the shortest route to the harbor basin with the pier for the imperial yacht. The final completion of the elongated west wing (tracks 5 and 6) and the platform hall took until 1911, because, among other things, the Kiel city monastery, a poorhouse on Sophienblatt, had to be demolished first.
