Bohemian Highway winds along the shaded creekside. There is not much shoulder, but this segment is short, then there are again options to hop on trails up into the hills.

Great views into the Russian River estuary. Just before the Bridge on the south side is a store for resupply and food. The small Willow Creek Road before the bridge to the north follows the river's south side with great views and access to trails up the mountain.

This vibrant, laid-back town boasts a thriving art scene and charming rural restaurants, making it an excellent choice for a leisurely lunch during a delightful day of exploring the beautiful countryside.

November 12, 2023, Moscow Rd back route

As of today (11/11/23) signs have been put up prohibiting pedestrians and cycling. They're making progress on fixing the road. I shouldn't have done it but going back would've added 10 miles to my route so I walked my bike through anyway. It's rugged but safer, in my opinion, then trying to ride River Road just west of the Monte Rio intersection where the road is narrow, heavily traveled, and heavily shaded by big redwoods. No idea when they'll finally have the road repaired.
