Cottonwood Creek runs out of Cherry Creek Reservoir and continues south. You cross the creek on several occasions on bridges while following the bike path.

Aurora Reservoir spans 800 acres of water surface and provides opportunities for fishing, kayaking, paddleboarding, and even swimming at the designated swim beach. There is a very nice perimeter trail where you can explore the area surrounding the reservoir.

There are three beaches at Aurora Reservoir: the scuba beach, the boat beach and the swim beach. At this location you can find the swim beach. There's beautiful sand, a snack bar, shades and a play ground.
