Very close to Rollins Pass, taking the High Lonesome Trail you can reach this point from where you'll have incredible alpine views over King Lake. Definitely a great spot for photos!

There is parking along the dirt road by the trailhead. The trail itself is steep and challenging, but runnable if you are prepared for the altitude and the vert. You pass a number of scenic waterfalls and bridges on the way up.

While swimming is prohibited in this body of water, you can hike the perimeter of the reservoir and fish. The trail is a easy flat run with a hard packed dirt surface. In the winter you can spectate ice fishing from the shore!

High Lonesome Trail provides a much needed break after ascending to this point. The trail is fairly flat, non-technical, and offers panoramic views (if it's not foggy).

Lost Lake is exceptionally popular, and for good reason. This is one of the easier ways to enjoy a high alpine lake, beautiful forest, and good sense of the Indian Peaks Wilderness from a relatively short trail. The lake has marshy banks and is surrounded by a mountain vista.

The campground has a large parking lot and 5 campsites just off of the dirt road. From here you have access to the Arapahoe, Dorothy Lake, Diamond Lake, and Fourth of July trails.

The trail up the peak from the south is surprisingly nontechnical and the views are fabulous. From here you get stunning views across the Indian Peaks and to Arapaho Glacier. North Arapaho Peak from here is a difficult talus ridgeline scramble and should not be attempted unless you have mountaineering experience and the weather is good.
