An island now rises from the flooded clay pit. The generator stood there when the clay pit was still active. The extracted clay was taken to Zeuthen train station and transported from there onward.

In the 1930s, a public bathing facility was established at the site of a former clay pit. To this day, the open-air pool remains a popular meeting place for swimmers and bathers. A sunbathing lawn, a children's playground, a volleyball court, and table tennis tables round out the amenities. A viewing platform is located by the water.
