The church of Lindenberg is situated on a hill. The current church building underwent a fundamental transformation in the Rococo style in the early to mid-18th century. In the mid-19th century, the interior was redesigned in a Neo-Romanesque style, which arguably did not suit the church very well. Thus, in 1941, the last pastor of Lindenberg, Karl Heichele, set about restoring the Rococo style during the war. The church was extensively renovated both inside and out between 1971 and 1975. The interior, in particular, underwent significant improvements. Source and further information: https://www.katholiken-buchloe.de/kirchen-orte/kirche-in-lindenberg/

We received a recommendation – and here we went for coffee! It was very good, with a nice selection of sweet pastries and Danish pastries. I highly recommend it – there's also a bike rack – or at least a place to park right next to the tables.

The late Gothic hall church consists of a nave, a recessed choir closed on three sides and supported by buttresses, a sacristy and an oratory above it in the south under the lean-to roof of the choir and a choir flanking tower on the north wall of the choir, which was extended in 1685 according to a design by Caspar Feichtmayr with octagonal storeys, which house the tower clock and the bell cage, and covered with an onion dome.
