Delicious cake with a view of the Rhine

The cafe at the old brickworks is a hub and stopover on any tour of the Palatinate. Food and drink are excellent. The service is friendly and attentive. There are approximately 30 seats inside, and over 100 outside in the beer garden. The view of the Rhine is breathtaking. The Zeigelei (a small village) behind the building is open to the public.

Good idea. Gives a good incentive to visit the memorial stone for Friedrichsbühl Castle.

The Sollach flows past here. Why a viewing platform was built is a mystery to me!

Elwe triches are said to come from crossing chickens, ducks and geese with forest-dwelling goblins and elves. But I haven't seen any.
