Cafe`Dobbendeel and the bridge over the canal are the center of the lake tour. The path around the lake usually begins from here (left or right). Here you will find rest options with good service at the beach cafe. A lawn with a great view of the lake right next door. If you are interested in staying in a houseboat (price list in the photos). Please inquire about booking options (occupancy?). Opposite the cafe there is a huge playground in case you have children with you.

Interesting information about Bad Bederkesa and the castle from www.wikipedia.de: The name Bederkesa - more correctly Bederichs-Ahe - goes back in meaning to a knight Bederich, who owned an Ahe here, a manor forest. His descendants built Bederkesa Castle on the south-western shore of the lake. The name was retained and later passed on to the place.
