There is a load of other amenities at this park. The lake, itself, is over 150-acres and is just down the road from Mississippi State University. Some of the trails appear to be more "hiking specific" than others, but bikes are allowed on all trails. Be aware of other trail users and don't be surprised when you come across some steps and road crossings on the trails.

Opossum Trail is a singletrack trail on the east side of Lake Lowndes. After crossing the dam on the south side of the lake, Opossum Trail travels all the way up to the northern banks of the lake where it connects to the majority of the rest of the Park's trail system. To do a full loop around the lake, you'll have to ride on the road for a little bit.
