A very interesting castle ruin. Very nicely located. There is still a lot to see. You can park at the manor farm in the valley below, and there is also a fantastic museum with finds from the castle in the former dairy building. If you want to know more about the castle, feel free to watch our documentary film (incl. archaeological finds). :) https://youtu.be/Cwtbbwm-tlo

We sign up to go bowling there once a year. There hasn't been a hot meal for a few years now, because the friendly and relaxed host is there alone. For us, it's always a trip back in time, just because of the decor and the many relics of the past on the walls.

Lion Castle (Pleigne JU) In 1956, CMS acquired the privately owned historic estate Löwenburg in Pleigne in the canton of Jura, near the French border. With over 150 hectares of forest and 150 hectares of agricultural land (mainly meadows and pastures), it is the largest estate of the foundation. In 1974, the Löwenburg was the first large-scale enterprise in northwestern Switzerland to move from dairy cattle to suckler cow husbandry. In the meantime, in addition to agricultural production, various school programs and numerous activities to protect and promote biodiversity of plants and animals have taken place. For example, as part of an ecological networking project, flowery meadows were created, hedges were maintained or forest edges were ecologically enhanced through care measures. Since the beginning of 2017, Daniel Leimgruber has been the lessee of the Löwenburg farm. With very nice little museum in the former dairy of the estate
