The Albany-Hudson Electric Trail passes by Kinderhook Lake, and there are actually some great views of the lake whenever there are breaks in the trees. There are some residential houses and neighborhoods around the lake, but so many trees are growing right up next to the edges of the water that it is sometimes hard to spot the buildings. There are a few informational signs and benches along the portion of the trail that borders the lake.

The Albany Hudson Electric Trail is open to non-motorized bikes and foot-traffic and is one of the most popular paths for exercising in the area. Parts of the path are paved, parts are crushed gravel, and parts are smooth dirt. This is a fairly flat trail that actually slowly goes downhill as you walk with the river and then goes gradually uphill as you walk against the flow of the water.

Art Omi is home to a Sculpture and Architecture Park along with a history and art center. The Sculpture and Architecture Park has footpaths that move through the park past different art exhibits and informational signs. This is a really cool outdoor art gallery that is open from sun-up to sun-down every day of the year.
