As of today, the suspended cycle path is finally officially open and fully usable! 🎉 The concrete blocks that blocked access have been removed – now there is a safe and comfortable connection between Mainz and Wiesbaden again. ✨ Extra bonus: The Rettbergsau recreation area is now also easily accessible by bike. 📣 Janina Steinkrüger, Head of the Department of Transport: "We waited this year for the defects to be rectified. Even though we would have preferred an earlier opening, I am relieved that we can now announce the opening." 👉 Background: In November 2024, safety-related defects were discovered on the Mainz side. These were the responsibility of the Autobahn GmbH and have now been successfully remedied. 🌍 An important step towards increased cycling mobility, safety, and leisure quality in Mainz and Wiesbaden!
