Podolerhof cabin holiday

Highlight • Mountain Hut

Welcome to the Podolerhof, a paradise for mountain bikers in the Grebenzen Nature Park. The three rustic log cabins at 1,050 m above sea level not only offer a breathtaking view of the surrounding mountain peaks, but are also ideal starting points for numerous mountain bike tours.

The Podolerteich and Muhrenteich circuit is particularly recommended, a well-signposted path that leads directly past the cabins. After an eventful day on the bike, the nearby idyllic Podolerteich invites you to relax and swim. The cabins, made of lovingly self-built wood from the farm's own forest, offer a cozy atmosphere. The farm right next door is home to not only many animals, but also a large playground and a beautiful garden with a soul swing. Perfect for the whole family.

Experience unforgettable mountain bike adventures and enjoy the peace and nature at the Podolerhof. You can find information here: urlaubambauernhof.at/de/hoefe/koehlerhuette.

Bernhard-Fest Trail

Highlight • Trail

Official mountain bike trail that starts at the Murauer Hut and runs down to Murau. The route is a "shared" trail, which means it is actually a hiking trail that bikers and hikers use at the same time. So you always have to expect hikers along the entire route and should be ready to brake accordingly!
The route is a classic "nature trail"! There are no built ramps or jumps here. It is simply a hiking trail with an incredible number of roots, stones, steps and sometimes steep gradients. Pure nature! Overall, I would classify the route as S2. I was "lucky" that it rained when I visited, which meant that the roots were extremely slippery and you also had to be very careful with the stones at times. In dry weather the trail is definitely a lot easier. However, it is not suitable for beginners.
I had a lot of fun, a fantastic trail! Definitely try it out if you are in the area.

Smuggler Trail

Highlight • MTB Park

If you feel really comfortable on stony ground, then this trail is just right for you. It is the first medium-difficulty single trail on the Turracher Höhe and, after the Kornock Flowtrail, the next challenge on your list. You can expect a few low berms, rock drops and a rock garden that is second to none. Please always stay on the trail during your descent, because some rare and protected plants grow in the surrounding area.

Start of the Kornock Flowtrail

Highlight • MTB Park

In my opinion, the Kornock Flowtrail is not necessarily well shaped. Some residents can be accepted but they are limited. There are high bumps all along the trail that can make you take off quite a bit, which is not really harmless if you are not yet that good technically. It is also quite annoying that you have to pedal uphill quite a bit. In my opinion, the trail is not flowy! I'm more interested in the two single trails that are still under construction.

In the area of the valley station of the Kornockbahn you can work on your driving technique on two technical trails. The blue trail can be used by anyone without prior knowledge, while the red trail already offers challenges such as roots and stone fields. A perfect practice area for the whole family!

Kornock Trail Mid-Entry

Highlight • Trail

So you look for flow here on the Kornock Flowtrail in vain. Sometimes very badly shaped and you have to pedal way too much uphill. Can't really recommend it.

ÜWI Jumptrail

Highlight • MTB Park

You will certainly succeed in taking really cool photos of you and your biker friends on the Üwi Jumptrail, because with the Turracher See in the background, this simply offers an outstanding photo backdrop. As an alternative to the 1.5 meter wide gap jump with lots of airtime, you can of course also switch to the single trail line.

Singletrail Mühlsteinboden

Highlight (Segment) • MTB Park

The 2.6-kilometer-long single trail is narrow in places and technically demanding (difficulty level S2). The trail is therefore suitable for advanced mountain bikers - it can be mastered with a lot of sensitivity and without going too fast. And you also get a beautiful mountain landscape for free.

In my opinion, it's not for beginners. The route through the forest is an experience, but it can be quite challenging here and there. So always be careful and cautious when going downhill! The mountain bike should definitely be suitable for downhill riding!
