As we wrote history – the Transcontinental Race #TCRN06
The Gomba-kő lies on the southeastern slope of Sár-hegy (226 m), and is part of the Granite Formations located in the Pákozdi Ingókövek nature reserve. It got its name from its shape. It's a bit tricky to get up with an MTB, but worth it for the view – everything. At first glance, it might seem that this stone can also be dislodged from its place, but: no :-)

Interesting fact or miracle? The lightning didn't strike the cross, but the tree next to it...

It is interesting that in this Vértes area we also find structures from the past, related to warfare. What is most surprising is that a tunnel suddenly appears unexpectedly, in the middle of nowhere... What purpose could it have served? What was stored in it? What kind of facility could it have been? Were there battles in the area where all this was used live, in a state of war? Such and similar questions arose in our minds when we saw the place. If anyone knows the answer, please describe it.

Even the Blue Trail route is not suitable for MTB. Fallen trees everywhere! Avoid!

Vérteskozma is a picturesque little hamlet in the middle of Vértes. As an interesting feature, I highlighted the cross on the edge of the village and the tree struck by lightning right next to it. If anyone knows a story about this unusual sight: write it down.
