great bike path from Rechnitz to Groß Petersdorf and on to Oberwart. From there you drive on another railway line to your destination. Perfectly designed, super asphalt, hardly any inclines - logical. Railroad tracks don't have much gradient...

Rechnitz Trail

Highlight (Segment) • Trail

The Rechnitz Trail is the most difficult but also the most successful trail here. Luckily, for a change, it's not uphill here, just downhill. The largest part of the trail consists of very nicely groomed, steep and high berms on which you can really get some momentum. However, the trail is still very versatile. The berms run through the entire course of the trail, but in between there are some high-speed passages, drops, tables, flat curves, berms, signposted line variations in different difficulties and a really great trail feature. A stone gully which is also called "The Canyon" and the canyon is in my opinion the highlight of the trail. It is about a 40m long gully made of stone where you can open the brakes completely and shoot over the rock garden. The Rechnitz Trail is really the best and also the most fun. Also because there are no uphill sections and you really get into the flow.

From the 862 meter high Großer Hirschenstein you do not have a magnificent view, but you can take a relaxed rest at the summit cross. There is also a transmission mast on the mountain.

March 5, 2026, Bahntrassen Cycle Path Oberwart–Bad Tatzmannsdorf

The railway cycle path from Bad Tatzmannsdorf to Oberwart is traffic-free and gently downhill throughout, and from Großpetersdorf to Rechnitz the cycle path is also traffic-free and easily suitable for families! In Hannersdorf there is a lovely rest area with a wooden train.
