Beautiful serpentine road through light forests and mostly diffusely shaded. Perfect for cycling even in bright sunshine. Especially on the north side, charming cobblestones but no longer in top condition. For road bikes to e-bikes, however, none of this is a problem. Because they are very narrow and short-sighted, motorized vehicles also tend to be very slow and careful. The engine noise on passes is quickly swallowed by the forest. Perfect bike excursion. South side consistently very well asphalted, which is fun for a fast descent. Nevertheless, caution is logically advised because control can still be lost due to occasional potholes/cracks and occasional dirt or sand in the curves. Can warmly recommend Vrsic for cyclists who enjoy a few meters of altitude. Especially from north to south (which is also advantageous in terms of heat in the summer months). My best mountain pass experience so far (but we also had ideal conditions) (Traffic on a Friday lunchtime on May 1st was rather moderate. hardly anything going on from 4/5 p.m. onwards.)

Beautiful multi-level and very high waterfall. You can reach it by descending along the pedestrian path that starts to the right of the small bridge.

You cycle along this railway bridge, all made of iron... exciting!

Very beautiful lake, unfortunately too much traffic at the pass today.

Very beautiful. Very steep in places, but nothing compared to Austria. The descent would probably be much more enjoyable. At least it's over relatively quickly.

It's better to drive up from Kranjska Gora. The road to Kranjska Gora is in poor condition, and the cobbled hairpin bends aren't fun to ride on a racing bike. The road surface on the other side of the pass is in very good condition.
